Dear Fellow Bookbinders,
WELCOME TO TAKE PART IN THE NORDIC BOOKBINDING EXHIBITION, NORDIC NATURE!

The exhibition will be open to all the Nordic bookbinders and book artists and all the members of the Nordic Bookbinding Society. The name of the exhibition is Nordic nature. Both title and author of the book you choose are optional. One of the participants will be awarded the PA prize (150 €) for outstanding craftsmanship. Participation fee for students is half price.

The exhibition will be held in the National and University Library of Iceland in Reykjavik and will open 23rd of April 2025 with some festivities and activities for guests. The speakers and program are to be confirmed. The exhibition will be displayed throughout the summer 2025. There will also be a digital exhibition on a website where photos and 3D scans of the books will be available. The photos of the bindings will also be posted on the NBS Instagram account.

Participation fee for members is 1000 SEK and student members 500 SEK. For non-members 1200 SEK and for student non-member 600 SEK. The fee covers the cost of returning postal costs, an online web exhibition/catalogue and partially organising costs.

Important Dates:

· Closing date for entry: 30 September 2024
· Books to be delivered before: 31 January 2025
· Opening of the exhibition: 23 April 2025 in the National and University Library of Iceland
· Exhibition dates: 23 April – end of summer 2025

The exhibition is organised by Nordic Bookbinding Society in cooperation with the National and University Library of Iceland.
